Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker

Supervised by Katherine winship, LCSW69759

Hi, my name is Almog and I am a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker, ACSW115645, supervised by Katherine Winship, LCSW69759.

I have over a decade of experience in therapy for children, youth, young adults, and adults, by creating a safe space and open environment to explore and express emotions. I use a variety of tools and approaches, tailored to the unique needs of my client. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, relational therapy, play therapy, and adventure & nature therapy.

I’m experienced in treating Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Emotional Regulation difficulties, Self-harm, life-threatening behaviors, Shame and seclusion, drug and alcohol abuse, aggression, and violence.

As a passionate hiker and adventure enthusiast, I view therapy as a shared expedition of the client and the therapist. Together, we’ll face challenges, conquer inner “monsters” and uncover the treasures of personal growth.

Clinical Experience

My clinical journey began with wilderness and nature therapy for youth at risk in the Israeli desert, focusing on anger management, emotions regulating and violence. Subsequently, I spent five years in a private practice, specializing in children, youth, and young adults, offering individual therapy and parental guidance.

I served as a mental health officer in reserve for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), conducting individual and group therapy for military forces during basic training, assessing acute stress reaction (ASR) and acute stress disorder (ASD), and providing crisis management training.
