Priscilla Duffy, AMFT
Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Supervised by More Ramot, LMFT113081

I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT126069), supervised by More Ramot, LMFT (LMFT113081). My approach to counseling is strength-based and person centered. I believe that each client brings in something different and unique. It is important for each person to feel the emotions they are experiencing to use that to create a life in the future where they are utilizing strengths and reaching their full potential. I enjoy learning new things and value diversity we have in our world today. I believe that each of us could learn from every individual we come across no matter how long they are in our lives personally and professionally.

Clinical Experience

My clinical background includes working with children and their mothers in a substance use outpatient treatment program with both Intensive Outpatient Services (IOS) and Outpatient Services (OS). I love working with children, adolescents, young adults and parents. I am fond of those individuals who may feel resistant to change and therapy interventions. I have experience with Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, Relationship issues, Parenting, and Substance Use. I have focused on using CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My experience consists of intake assessments, developmental assessments, individual and group therapy, interventions, parenting classes, and crisis situations.

I was born and raised on the small island of Guam, but moved to San Diego back in 2005. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with both my bachelor’s in psychology and Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Before stepping into the mental health field, I had the pleasure of working with children and their families in various settings, including as a nanny, at home daycare, preschool teacher, and as an experienced surrogate. I am also a mother to two boys and four bonus adult children through my husband.
